This is a murder mystery with a twist. Two actors play thirteen characters... with a piano. When famous novelist Arthur Whitney is found dead at his birthday party, it’s time to call in the detectives. The only problem is, they’re out of town.
Enter Officer Marcus Moscowicz, a neighbourhood cop desperate to climb the ranks. With the clock ticking, it’s up to Marcus to solve the crime before the real detective arrives. Gloriously silly, devilishly clever and fantastically funny! The musical premiered at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre in 2011, winning the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Musical. In 2022, the musical’s setting was relocated to the UK by Barn Theatre, receiving outstanding reviews from audiences and critics alike.
